Houses that are in the cities are generally made for the middle and upper-class people.Their houses are usually
behind solid metal-iron gates and their house is usually made out of stone , topped with glass and other objects.
Houses in the Costa are usually made of wood and are usually held up by stilts to prevent over flooding.Their houses
are usually 2-3 stories high and they aren't to pretty.They're surrounded by tall fences that enclose their back yard or garden.
Middle and upper-class ecuadorians value their realtionships with their family and friends, they generally do not go
visit / socialize with their neighbours.
Most of these houses incluse : Laundry and kitchen areas, the servant quarter, the bottom floor( for entertaining), dining
room, a "sala" which is the main room of the house( unocuppied most of the time), and bedrooms.
